Teresas

Teresa Smiley is from the state of Indiana in the USA. She is a Peace Corps volunteer and has worked with Neohumanist for 18 months. During this time she applied for grant through the USAID Small Projects Assistance Fund (SPA Grant).

The goal of the grant was to improve our Conference Services Center. With the money from the grant, our organization purchased an LCD projector, screen, and laptop. This equipment will improve the quality and quantity of services the organization can offer for conferences and seminars and will attract more local and foreign clients. All income generated from the conference services will finance Rasarit Day Center for the Elderly.

Neoumanist will improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries by providing educational and entertainment programs using the new equipment, such as Tai Chi, seminars on health and diet, and guest lectures. Additionally the organization will organize computer trainings for the staff, and trainings for community.

The project was approved and now the organization beneficiates from the new equipment for the Conference Services Center.

Bravo Teresa! Good work!
