retreat at la popasretreat at la popasACASA, a network of organizations benefitting the elderly of Moldova, held a retreat for the elderly from different member centers around Moldova. Five beneficiaries from Neohumanist Association participated in the retreat, held at La Popas Retreat Center in Dubasari along the banks of the Dniester River. Overall 58 elderly beneficiaries attended the retreat, which focused on forming frienships, enjoying nature, relaxation, and improvinig health and spirit. We hope to organize retreats for a larger number of beneficiaries in the future.

Participants at the retreat from Neohumanist had this to say about their time away.

Parascovia Siritanu: I am pleased that the staff at Rasarit Day Center for the Eldery chose me as a participant at the retreat. This was a week of true rest and attention to the benecifiaries. The clean air and natural surroundings made my health stronger and gave me courage to live well. I thank Ms. Veronica, Ms. Claudia, and Ms. Vlada with all my heart for taking care of us.

Vasile Criotor: Thank you for your charity. I am 81 years-old. For a week I felt excellent. I returned from the retreat well-rested, well-fed, and full of optimism and hope. Sincere thanks to the organizers.

Teresa Sergheeva: I liked everything. We had great facilities and tasty meals. I made new friends. We had interesting activities, games, competitions, and walks in nautre. Thank you for organizing a great retreat!

Natalia Severenco and Anastasia Şalacova: We had a wonderful time at La Popas. We drew, sang songs, played ball, dominoes, and checkers, and had exercises every morning. We liked it a lot. Thanks to Rasarit Day Center for the special attention and care you have shown us.
