
In 1990 the United Nations General Assembly declared October 1 to be the International Day of the Elderly. Neoumanist celebrated with concerts, recitals, and words from special guests.
Among the honored guests were Basjan Dane, chairman of the organization NADHAM in the Netherlands, Constantin Priguza, mayor of Straseni, Ala Miron, President of the Veteran’s Association of Moldova, and Gheorghe Calmîş, President of the Veterans Association of Straseni.
We held a concert featuring the following artists: Children’s folk ensemble EDERA, Director Elena Osoianu; Veterans Choir of Straseni, Director Svetlana Croitor; and the Ensemble Gingasie from the high school O.Ghibu in Chisinau, Director Dumitru Nircă.
The company BioProtect sponsored a performance from the Edera ensemble and also presented the elderly with gifts and foodstuffs for the center.
Most of the elderly, called the old, it is better to be considered “persons with more memories”. “Bank of memories” that never fails to bankruptcy! This is because they are based on previous achievements, the certainty. The staff at Neohumanist wishes its beneficiaries health and happiness not only on their special day,but every day!
